An Integrity Values Program for Building Cultures of Integrity
Character is Destiny (CID) is a value-based integrity program designed to help nations build lasting cultures of integrity across schools, communities, businesses, and government institutions. The program is grounded in the conviction that integrity is the moral foundation upon which people rise, and societies flourish.
The CID curriculum has been developed in partnership with the Maxwell Leadership Foundation, combining global leadership expertise with a practical, culturally adaptable curriculum focused on real-world application.
Purpose and Focus
Unlike broad character education programs, CID focuses exclusively on integrity. Rather than emphasizing compliance or rules alone, the curriculum addresses the underlying drivers of behavior – helping participants align personal values with everyday decisions. CID is designed to move integrity from concept to practice, strengthening individual character while reinforcing institutional culture.
Pilot-Test-Scale
CID is currently being piloted in Zambia and Malawi, in partnership with their anti-corruption institutions, ministries of education, and other organizations. Early engagement has demonstrated strong demand for expansion beyond schools into businesses, government agencies, and communities.
A Platform for Partnership
Character is Destiny is designed to be launched through local partnerships with ministries of education, anti-corruption bodies, civil society organizations, and business networks. The program is adaptable, scalable, and intended to support national priorities related to anti-corruption.
